Did Obama Permit Human Cloning? George and Kmiec Debate

Check out this fascinating multi-part email debate between Professors Robby George and Doug Kmiec. The debate started after Kmiec commended President Obama for "his strong prohibition of human cloning." George then emailed Kmiec to point out that Obama actually only mentioned reproductive cloning, and that all evidence indicates that Obama is actually permitting human cloning for research purposes. George also asked Kmiec to clarify his public statements. What follows is a astonishing display of intellectual dishonesty as Kmiec weaves and dodges and obfuscates in an attempt to avoid George's pointed questions. At the end of the exchange, George challenges Kmiec to a public debate on this issue anywhere and anytime, at George's expense. Will Kmiec take up George's offer? I'm not holding my breath.
