In the light of President Obama's actions yesterday, I'm waiting for the defense by Kmiec and the other "Obama is pro-life" believers. Please share with the rest of us how Obama's policy in granting federal funding to embryo experimentation and research will lead to a fewer number of human lives lost.

Obama's action leaves the door open to the creation of embryos for the purpose of experimentation and research. Note also these words of Obama: "We cannot ever tolerate misuse or abuse. And we will ensure that our government never opens the door to the use of cloning for human reproduction. It is dangerous, profoundly wrong, and has no place in our society, or any society." Obama is limiting the use of cloning only to "human reproduction." I predict we'll next see the use of cloning for experimentation at the pre-natal level, perhaps within the next 5 years. After all, if there is no problem with creating and destroying embryonic humans before birth for stem cells and research, why would there be a problem with cloning and destroying embryonic humans before birth for stem cells and research?
