Why the hell does this graphic bug me so much?

Every time that I want an extremely independent viewpoint on the goings on in Hail Mary Town and Hail Mary U, I visit Incense. Recently, this graphic has been haunting me. What is it about the image that is so disturbing? The marching in the foreground, reminiscent of a May Day Parade (or at least, a post by Casimir)? The Battlestar Galactica motif of the oratory? The crowd circling around the...wait a minute...damn...holy crap! That's it!
