In Lacrimarum valle

I light of Thales post, I thought I should post this. I recently received an email from a current 2L describing the tenor of things on the ground at AMSL. I am posting this with his authorization in order to give our readers a sense of things at AMSL from a student's perspective. (Incidentally, I'm sure that there might be differing opinions). To the question, "how are things on the ground at AMSL:"

Not well, which is pretty much the standard around this place. Most of my associates have determined there is really no need to fight the inevitable; Monaghan will move this place even if he has to shut it down and start all over. The dean has of course assured us that no action will be taken that will jeopardize the accreditation of the school; however, as with most statements by Bernie, this is just another example of him pissing down our backs and telling us it's raining. I should've left when everyone else did...when the rats are fleeing the sinking ship, it's usually a pretty good time to break out the life vest.

Keep up the fine work on Fumare...it's all we have to keep us informed on the shenanigans of this place. The dean's Prozac-infused, happy-making e-mails belong on the pages of Pravda and not in my inbox.
